About Nozawa Onsen, Japan
Dates for your diary: 21st January 2018 - 27th January 2018
(Link to draft Conference Programme)
Welcome to Nozawa Onsen, a beautiful destination located in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, a true snow paradise - in fact one of Japan's most superb and expansive winter sports areas!
Nozawa Onsen is equally renowned for it's onsen as well as its powder skiing, and no visit to Nozawa Onsen would be complete without taking a hot spring bath (an onsen). Many ryokan (including our chosen one, "Ryokan Sakaya") and a few minshuku have their own hot spring bathing facilities - lucky us. In addition anyone can enjoy, free of charge, any of the thirteen public hot spring baths known as sotoyu. They all have a different source with distinct characteristics that provide for a variety of different mineral baths.
